Bible verses about strength
Strength in the Bible is almost always borrowed: it comes from God, often when we have none left.

The Bible’s best-known verses on strength are Isaiah 40:31 (“those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength”), Philippians 4:13 (“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength”) and Joshua 1:9 (“Be strong and courageous”). Each points beyond our own strength to God’s.
The verses
Isaiah 40:29–31
He gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:29–31Renewed strength for the faint and weary.
Philippians 4:12–13
I know how to live humbly, and I know how to abound. In any and every situation I have learned the secret of being filled and being hungry, of having plenty and having need. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:12–13Paul is talking about contentment in hunger and plenty, not winning every contest.
Isaiah 41:10
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10“I will strengthen you; I will surely help you.”
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
Psalm 46:1Written for a city under threat: when everything shakes, God is the safe place and the strength to stand.
2 Corinthians 12:9–10
But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me. That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9–10Power made perfect in weakness.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9Courage because God goes with you.
Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—whom shall I dread?
Psalm 27:1Whom shall I fear?
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7A spirit of power, love and self-control, not fear.
